These are days to consider reviewing plans and resolutions for the coming year. It's cold, rain, birds sing and gurus rise. Gurus?? Yes, gurus. With each and every one of the letters, to everywhere under stones, total, do not suffer the crisis, being a guru nothing is free.

Curious history. Internet gurus, social media gurus, of the viral, digital marketing, even those who consider themselves "ninjas" as "social media ninjas" (These must be God; favorites!).

For me these are "influential", but that does not mean they are prescribers, indeed are those who stimulate me some ideas and thoughts, even opposite to theirs, you are reading maybe I would not have arisen. I have my list, and I like to follow and read what they have in their heads despite disagreeing, for example I would mention Carlos Blanco, Julio Alonso, Jesus Encinar, Enrique Dans ... make me think, but that does not mean that I go to buy a television brand that they like.

With some many times do not think alike, but no matter, they are people who have the ability to put things in my mental agenda, to encourage me and make me think about issues that I had in mind. A few things affect me say, fill my agenda of ideas and thoughts.

Joshua Novick recently spoke of humility, and right into a nice reflection on what this sector is the lack of modesty and sometimes look to other side of the sidewalk thinking they are outdated and that we who are in the right place, the rest will disappear, we will be us who know, that we were right, the champions ... gurus? ... I think it's a reflection very complementary to these lines and nice to read.

At one point, upon arrival, one of my partners who already knew, he introduced me to his companion as his "internet guru". Do not blink, you just looked perplexed to find that he accepted willingly and nodded to the epithet, "Shit, I thought, today as a dauber".

What I mean by this is that if someone believes a guru, says little of himself and is not doing you any favors - quite the opposite, is putting a crumb more for you to believe what you are not and greatest They Fall!. If you would consider yourself self, big guy then you should consider that you have a problem and you need a good dose of humility.

The most intelligent and most successful I've ever met in life have always listened to others even knowing much more than they ever would have believed and, as a rule, have always regarded themselves as mere apprentices, even when there was no objectively knowledgeable in your field who might make shade.

Culture and Technology: only for the brave

As culture and internet concept even squeak a little.'m Sure that new technologies will revolutionize the next few years the cultural movements, especially the art, music and literary world. But that is not new and already thinking 5 or 10 years ago, the problem is not reached, there is little cultural initiatives related to internet culture in general; symbolic in Spain and almost nonexistent in Latin America. Sad but true. Investors, projects and the "attack on niche markets" as fashion and in order of importance economically, are to blame for delaying my cultural projects that could be very interesting and even more dynamic movements cultural, but today at the enterprise level would not be profitable and feasible in a country like Spain, where that cultural consumption is low. We are in a country where you hear a lot of music (which rarely purchase), in which the rate of book sales is low, and where despite having two of the major art museums in the world ( Museum Prado , and in contemporary art and the avant MNCARS ) when one visits them often "almost" the only Spanish there. One of those projects is the merit of Angel Maria Herrera , who ate the last week at the Club 31 in Madrid (incidentally, the very traditional restaurant that has earned the 5 cucharetes who have given

I knew him personally for over a year, I remember we ate on the occasion of the book he published " 15 years of Internet in Spain "with Jorge Villabona in publishing Owl Group , wanted to talk to me and hear my whole story and then had the detail devote one long chapter of the book to tell my adventures with the great characters of the new technologies in Spain and Bernardo Hernandez , Luis Abril, Jesus Encinar , Carlos Blanco , Emilio Marquez , Ismael El-Qudsi , Jesus Monleon , Sixto Arias , Javier Martin or Carpintier Rodolfo , among others. It has always seemed a very sensible and has a professional profile and very curious, you see a person who has concerns and has done many different things in life and a clear commitment by the cultural background. Adding to all this entrepreneurial spirit and the ability of conviction has to surround himself with brilliant people on an advisory board and convince investors get the likes of Sequoia, Europa Press, El Grupo Intercom, Andreu Teixedor and Caja Navarra. Le desire for truth that goes well Bubok adventure, that in different markets, have similarities and reminds me in some things our draft Yes.fm and would love, as we talk about music and literature, literary and music industry, which someone of importance and a serious project is encouraged with the other major leg of culture and one of my great passions, art. If that project finally comes, call me I do not wanna miss it and would love to participate.
