The sale of pisos.com and pisos.net or paper begins migration to the Internet
Last week have commented Domisfera, Sergio neckline and Carlos Blanco was sold and pisos.com pisos.net € 400,000
The buyer of pisos.com is Vocento, which has paid € 250,000 in a very good buy. Pisos.net has been acquired by Anuntis, for € 150,000 through the platform of SEDO
Both seem very reasonable to purchase publishing companies online, but what is most interesting about this is that I find movement coincides casulamente ¿? with the closure of anuntis of the Segundamano.
Why, has closed the Second?
In my opinion not in internet forums and blogs talking about some closure, I think we should see it as a logical evolution, as the top dance companies in Spain publishing betting andalusia made a 100% digital and more dynamics, I bet they are the first in a list in 2009-2010, and the crisis will widen.
I'm not thinking that a catastrophist disappear physical editing of publications, but will in many cases. El Pais, El Mundo newspapers, magazines quality couché fashion, photography ... always be there. But insurance models that migrate hundreds of 100% online journals, with monthly sales of 30,000 copies and high advertising revenue in the paper is not supported, and of those in Spain there are hundreds.
Some of these books, and I think in very specific 2, have started to migrate and are now aware that they do not know and for years and that his handicap is logical networks buy blogs, and that know how these publications already under way to inject fuel and power after a phase of cohabitation parallel digital abandon the physical environment and look to their advertisers, which is ultimately the key.
That will be another dance has begun, although it still going to take months to see any significant operation in progress.

Covering stages: Target 2008 met
I like to comment on developments Entertainment Networks because our company is young and I have spent time and money on it, and believe in its future. At the end of 2008 my idea is to decouple the little day to day and delegating something more in my team and concentrate on new projects to prepare.
Soon our network of blogs will grow laterally and will have several interesting things to announce, not the addition of new blogs, but new approaches and possibly sub-2 launch in the field of microcontenidos to accompany it with other approaches and different entry of new partners and new approaches within them.
Commenting on the data ahead of September for the first time I was doubly pleased, first because the growth was still very broad and sustained, and secondly because they had almost 2 years arguing that losses every month beginning on a personal level to fruit and in September we had our first operating profit.
Today I can announce that as we were working on those profits go up 100% compared to September, based on agreements in the medium and long term that we have signed with several companies as well as the growth of our advertising and billing traffic.
Frankly had no economic purpose in 2008, in fact the approach was to keep growing even in a non-sustainable in terms of profit in 2009 and already rentabilizaríamos .... That approach was changed in December when they thought the economy would need to modify the original idea of a more defensive.
As if there were objective in terms of unique users, which for me is the most important factor, far more than the benefits and much more than page views. The user is everything.
Today I can announce that this month we have reached 3,000,000 unique users per month in the network of blogs. In particular, we have closed the month according to internal data we use the first days of each month at 3,057,022 unique users per month (+11.94% over the past month) and 9,144,898 (+11.76 respect to last month) . I am afraid that Nielsen / OJD, soon to gain information, not even collect the 3 million users by the small difference and because we use 2 blogs is not even included in the panel (including this month) and then possibly formalize 3 million next month.

Many or few? Well, I must say that when July 1 reached 2,000,000 users did not think that in 3 months the rate of growth will allow us to reach that figure so quickly, in fact the goal seemed ambitious December 2008 (some on my computer believed impossible. Well actually I think nobody thought likely
).
The reality is that in 1 year and 10 months we have gathered 3,000,000 people around the blogs Leisure and agencies, advertisers, partners, investors and even some in the media with business interests in Internet and see it begin to pay much more attention, but there is still much work to do and we have to improve some of our publications in its editorial quality and better position. We will also have 2 strong challenges in the coming months working to launch 2 new projects from Entertainment Networks.
In principle stand that the targets for 2009 and commented on occasion of 6,000,000 users and 15,000,000 million page views, but it is possible to raise and we need to revise them upward at the end of next month if we with this pace of growth, I think that is healthy and that the goal should be ambitious in order to motivate us more.

The crisis as very positive shock
I think we all know already that this is a new socio-economic scenario. This is a breakthrough because some months ago, when some saw it coming first discussed whether or not crises and second on whether or not to affect technology companies.
Well, we do not have any doubt over what we have, but none of us knows the situation and evolve.
It is time to find out who is on balls, to paraphrase Warren Buffet in a phrase that I know and read via Sixto Arias (who did not know personally, and last week in the First Tuesday Madrid gratísima me a print) and Carlos Blanco: "When the tide is low, who is on balls." Well, the tide may get to see whether or not you are even with shoes on.
Me, I do not know if my conservative nature, or because I saw it coming since December, I have been very negative, and I am very concerned in recent months by our younger Network blogs Entertainment Networks.

I am particularly concerned that company for several reasons, especially its youth, the weakness of the CPM-based advertising market with blogs and the high operating costs and deficit that we held with the aim to grow very quickly in size to grow over a economically sustainable.
That is why I started from December 2007 to raise awareness to our executive staff Diego, Monica and James at the head of which we could come over. In Diego and Monica are particularly emphasized its role as coordinator of the Network and editor, and during all these months we have been cutting costs, improving performance and structure, prioritizing investments and discarding some planned, stopping unnecessary spending, increase traffic and revenue at a sustained pace on balance and balance sheets that were too negative for the future. I know two of them, now read these thoughts, they were surprised and a little reluctantly and did not see the overall situation as black as I painted. Today, I have a personal conviction that if we had not taken all these steps for 9 months, Entertainment Networks could not possibly survive in the next year and I have no doubt that they are now much clearer than 9 months ago.
At several points in this route the company needed financing, and at that point that I am conservative by default under-personally I have been covering it in order not to rely on bank financing or even entry to new partners to maintain 100% of the company. Not only seems to have been a success but the company makes sustainable today although I have a personal liability to recover in the coming years. Have relied on a bank could be in these coming months a critical and unrecoverable.
In parallel I was interested in the topic and wanted to invest and trade to support a small structure that would allow us to not only depend on our agency, Addoor but able to close agreements for special projects, sponsorships and long-term partnership with companies that have synergies with our publications . This strategy has borne fruit and we have very clearly signed in September and October 3 and 3 year agreements agreements that guarantee us a semi-annual income in addition to our usual.
The other leg was required growth and optimization, with less structure, less monthly budget, had to sharpen the wits to keep growing in traffic and hence revenue. Since January we have achieved is precisely our month of September increased percentage and absolute growth.
The fear and the crisis may have a negative effect, the apprehension and panic because the money is a coward. Also t but I think it can have a tremendously positive effect that we have lived internally. My personal fear is that we have done more work than in other periods, taken precautions, sharpened wit, have been more aggressive, more demanding and have been able to develop a commercial network. Fear can be a stimulus, without which probably would have faced much worse times to come. We can include the fear of difficulty in this case as a factor more than the pyramid of motivation applied to the company.

Entertainment Networks in numbers, this means that we have grown since December over an audience of 100 at 1.3% to 2.73 million unique users, nearly 100% in page views from 4.5 to 8 18 million per month, over a more than 120% in advertising revenue and sponsorships and revenues have increased fivefold atypical revenue we had then.
In parallel, we have lowered our costs and operating costs by 12% since January. Last month was the first month in which Entertainment Networks gave ample benefits and we know that our growth, current operating cost, controlling expenditure and the agreements signed in the coming months will double the benefit of September on a sustained and consolidated .
We hope to have done its homework and when the tide bring down all the swimsuit post.
Without the fear of the crisis and the stage seemed to come up would not have been possible, is the stimulus of adversity.

2,700,000 million thanks
When in January 2007 created the network of blogs Entertainment Networks, expected to give a comprehensive growth. I've always been an optimist, and that's partly because I think that there are bound to make goals very high, almost unattainable.
In the month of July, with 2.2 million unique users and said that almost met the target of 2.5 million at year end and I had to try to be 3, with the summer ahead, it was a handicap. In August, grew moderately, possibly due to seasonality and reach the 2.3 million unique users. Now I can announce that as the first data sent to me in September have reached 2.7 million unique users, with strong monthly growth of more than 400,000, better than expected this month, and that brings us to end 2008 at 3 million users much closer.

At the level of advertising revenue and the data page views is really important because cobras for this, but on a personal level, I am always interested me much more data for unique users. I think the key measures the force that can have a network. Yet this month we have grown by about 500,000 page views to almost 8.2 million.
Blogs are very few page views per person, typically a ratio 1.x-2.x per session, that is by its horizontal format, and is markedly different from the data page views of social networks for example, with ratios up to 60-80 pages per meeting.
Importantly, our network consists of 30 blogs, 28 of them purchased and 2 developments, we have no blog Land are all products.
The purpose of trafficking to 2009 will be much more ambitious, I do not know whether we can achieve, but the idea is if we can finish 2008 in the above figures doubling size by 2009 and close the year with 6 million users and nearly 15 million pages views. We'll see if we succeed.
At company level the goal of increasing profitability for next year is much higher, there are a lot of work to play in this area and in fact this month we have closed 3 new sponsorships with companies, 2 year and a half-yearly, and we want Further work in this direction to achieve significant long-term agreements that allow us to grow so long. We are also evaluating the possibility of entry of new investors in the company's stock, which currently is 100% owned mine to cover New growth needs to be able to attack us even more ambitious goals in 2009.
I want to thank the team of bloggers and publishers work. Every time we have an editorial team more compact and stable and I think this month and the possibility of moving some bloggers publishers in order to promote it, become more involved in the network and reward their dedication.
No doubt the traffic data of the network of blogs Entertainment has been the best news of last week.

Where to be. My bets for the sector
I am usually not organized and do little to long-term plans, but based on what we have prepared for the next season and the next, if I think I can describe what I think will be the key niches, where you have to be in 2009 and 2010.
This short list we have been working the last 6 months to try to "be where you have to be" in the next 2 years within the industry TIME. Of course there will always be surprises, and the points where they have been there may not be with the presence we expected.
Where I believe we should be (in alphabetical order):
Affiliation:
Big companies come to Spain as CJ specialized affiliation, other actors like zanox, Trade Doubler are doing really well. The result is beginning to be interesting where campaigns worth participate. On our side we will bring a dedicated 100% to use our media and advertising platform of some recruitment campaigns by choosing to go.
BioTech:
For me one of the major sectors with capital letters. I can not gutting the surprise (which is going to be fat, even for people in my immediate environment), especially since are not tied up, but soon will announce my participation in an ambitious project of genetics, something exciting. Today, bio technology and special knowledge and application to an individual's life in decoding the human genome is one of the great challenges of the next 10 years, and a wonderful business opportunity.
Dating:
I never liked me, I know, I am a very close, but the issue of dating is an area where there is business to be the next years. Personally I would never launch a product dating, not attractive to me personally and I am motivated, well I do not have the necessary know-how, but if you can say that I participate with a small investment in Yunu, draft Emilio Marquez and Carlos Blanco. In this case I am more happy to accompany Charles and Emilio, that the industry itself, which is not my favorite.
Geopositioning:
I firmly believe in new projects and geopositioning applications, not only from a standpoint of business model, but especially their direct involvement in other models such as e-commerce, local guides, entertainment and so on. There are several interesting projects in Spain that apply logic geopositioning GPS, Wifi, IP and soon by Galileo, the European GPS. The possibilities are many business, a sector where "you have to be."
Local guides:
I firmly believe in the market for local content on the Internet and its use local advertising to advertisers. I begin to be aware of some projects to be launched in Spanish cities, and some interesting project in Mexico and Argentina. We will launch in 2009 Madrid.net
Music:
For me the great forgotten sector of new technologies worldwide. Pandora, Last.fm, Deezer are major projects, and participate with us Yes.fm we launched a few weeks ago.
The consumption of music in the future will be fully digital and online radio will be received in all kinds of platforms over the next 2 years, TV, mobile terminals, video or the car will not be exempt from this quantum leap. The CD has already suffered this development and the radio-music formulas will include the next 5 years.
Networks Blogs:
At the level of content on the Internet believe that there should be no doubt. Gradually advertising blogs will understand more as an advertising medium, the fact that 2008 has been a key year for this. I believe we should be and I believe that, although later than I would have liked, successful in launching the network of blogs Entertainment Networks in January 2007. Indeed in a few days I think I can give some details of our network of blogs for significant growth, if not turn the trend. I think I personally will exit options at the end of 2010 some of the traffic over existing networks.
And where there be? Well, I think there are several sites. I do not want to offend sensibilities, and that someone can be attacked, but to mention one that I believe we should reduce the mention domain names. Not a good time to buy, and do I just buy large premium top level domains, but investment in domain names is not at his best because it has a margin of speculation in times of crisis ...

Relatively happy with the data in August
The first days of each month usually bury in a maremagnun figures and interpretations that are sometimes successful and sometimes not on the hearing of our network of blogs.
As I have commented on occasion always work with data from our own servers, because of our measurement data from Nielsen Netratings and certification OJD take something even more in coming.
Generally receive a monthly spreadsheet with details of each site, its evolution and I am asking for some data analysis, which evaluates the difference between the number of posts, number of comments, views, users, trend% of search traffic, % of traffic from other relevant sites, and direct traffic% typein, Ips access by country, with cyclical weekly chart numbers, bounce rate from search engines. From this month I have also asked Servent Diego, Coordinator of the Network of blogs Entertainment Networks in the analysis to include some other data that we have a clear and should be taken as a variable to measure the evolution of a monthly publication website, the average time Connection 2-3 and other variables that I want to go a little soaking several tests we are doing these days and I'm not even sure of its significance.
This month of August in a way he feared a drop in traffic caused by our largest percentage of visits from UK and holidays, but finally I can announce an interesting growth of the network, which brings us to 2,334,000 unique users (with growth almost 6%) and 7,666,000 page views (an increase of 9%) as seen in this graph.

Despite being aggressive growth numbers for the month of August, I should also point out that the increase in part to have added a new blog to the network, todowow.com purchased for about a month and a few days. Without this new release, growth would have been positive, but to a lesser extent.
August is when it should be happy, but I'm not greatly: expecting more, and we have to work much more on several blogs that perhaps some seasonality-be-lost analyze traffic this month traffic is not expected. On the other side more positive new publications as celiacs, environmentalism, olive oil, drink etc, with only a few months of life stages and will cover growing exponentially and it is also very important but they are still months ahead be more relevant.

On segmentation and specialization microcontenidos
Some time ago I started to talk with Raul Perez and 2 days ago we finally met in person and had the opportunity to share a table and tablecloth in Gasset75, which sometimes has almost become my headquarters when low center of Madrid.
Raul is a young Cuban who settled 3-4 years ago in Madrid, and I think a blog quite successful in the world of World of Warcraft, and we chatted for some time to do things together, that possibility was closed with the purchase your blog from our subsidiary Entertainment Networks your blog www.todowow.com as well as joining our team.
The food was very interesting and I thank Raul saciara that my curiosity on several topics, the first was completely offline, on Cuba, a country that possibly the media and the impact of tourism that can distort a real vision, is a great unknown. The other issue on which I was illustrated World of Warcraft massively multiplayer game developed by Blizzard Entertainment and commonly known as WoW now launched in the countries of Latin America.
I have never played WoW (I'm more relaxed and download mini adrenaline very sporadic 50Kbs games with Phoenix of the 80, Tetris, Galaxian - what those times! -):-D but it surprised some niches market that are actually open. In WoW we are talking about a system of online multiplayer games created in 1998-99 to play today (paying a subscription fee) more than 10,000,000 people around the world.
Blizzard Entertainment provides subscribers reached 15,000,000 in 2008 and opened for this Latin American countries, which were supposed to shoot the number of users in that area and the influence and importance of Spanish in WoW.
That gives me to think that there are niche content and user segments which, besides having a great future, are unthinkable in cold. WoW users demand information, news and utilities for the game on an almost constant and I explained that a large market (PC's technical specifications with special tools for the game, etc.). which is moving around these systems. This is where Raul has been successful and we are happy to try and power within our structure.
Little potential niches are exploited even on the Internet, such as when we talked about "The Dwarfs, these big consumer, but there are also other audiences, but much more heterogeneous segmented beyond major channels (games, music, film), and detecting and reach them with micro topics may be interesting.
Of course not everyone is used to reach those segments as concrete. The degree of expertization should be proportional to the specific content. In this case, Raúl, and known to play WoW for hours, almost since he left the market for almost 10 years.

Entertainment Networks buys blog todowow.com
Through this post I take to announce one of the transactions he spoke a few days ago, when publishing the hearing in July of the network of blogs Entertainment Networks.
We have agreed to purchase the blog todowow.com and joining our network for all purposes since August 1 (Nielsen metric mainstreaming is dated September 1).
TodoWow is a leading Spanish-language publications devoted to massively multiplayer role-playing game World of Warcraft online, fansite Spanish officer of Blizzard Entertainment's that had been headed by Raúl Pérez, a young Cuban expert based in Madrid after the game now becomes part of the editorial board of Entertainment Networks, and will remain the chief publisher of this publication.

TodoWow.com was created in late 2007 and has about 75,000 unique monthly users and 300,000 page views per month. We look forward to the synergies of our network and the good of the team led by James, Diego and Monica, this power to grow new blog.
I'm very interested in entering publications segments in certain very specific thematic carriers. In the game segment consolas.es we now have a blog that is consolidated and video analysis is as curious as a general publication consolas.es has a traffic Pageviews very similar to an issue in public as well segmented todowow.com.
We hope soon to announce new acquisitions of blogs that I am considering at this time and hope to be resolved before leaving to return to the office the next day August 18. With todowow.com and other operations that we are studying, we hope to expand the inventory thematic synergies between advertising and audience of the network of blogs Entertainment Networks.
