Interview with La Opinión de Málaga
I leave you with the last interview, published in the newspaper "The opinion of Malaga", on March 30.

Is it good time to start a business with the crisis?
Far from being problem I see as an opportunity. With the crisis have gone 350,000 companies and 260,000 self-employed, 14% of the business of the country. It is unfortunate, but still needed services and, while there is less competition. I who am an entrepreneur, but also private investor, I say that there is money to invest, but you need good business projects. In 2007 90% of entrepreneurs were vocational, now are 50% and 50% were unemployed, of necessity, arise to put a company.
What a business project, the most important is the idea?
I've never met anyone with an idea that could revolutionize the world. It idealizes the idea much, but is only part of the way. The key is in the execution of that idea. Your first idea was for a social network Facebook was not the but of Classmates, ten years earlier. But Facebook's executed well. There are many companies whose initial idea has nothing to do with the one that finally gave them success.
Is it all over the world to entrepreneur?
It takes a vocation, a personal moment right where you are able to make sacrifices, and above all, training. This idea that we can all be entrepreneurs is a fallacy, not true. Some people do not give the profile, and has three children and three mortgages, so it would be irresponsible on his part played everything on one card in a business venture. Furthermore, we live in a country where universities give back to the world of business and do not teach to undertake.
What is the reality of opening a business?
Only 10% of the companies created survive their third year, the rest breaks. So I do not understand this desire of the government for pushing the unemployed to set up companies capitalizing unemployment. It would be better to teach them to survive and overcome the red line of the third year of life, when a company is consolidated. In recent years a proliferation of incubators and other business incubators with this task ... Well, incubators help, but sometimes I think they are simply a face. Some councils take the ride to a press release later this year that says how many companies have helped create, and are actually rather self-employment of people. End up being low-cost business center. The key is not how many, but if the aid to compete and create jobs.
How to save the reef to get a loan?
We are in a very hard time. Bank financing is closed and the public, primarily focused on the Official Credit Institute (ICO) is a joke. We sold the ICO Direct but its 2,500 million euros granted only 230 million, up 9% and 95% reject the aid requested by entrepreneurs and freelancers. The ICO is asking for more guarantees than asking the banks, I think there is an entity that has been worst hit out of the crisis. The ICO is for moments like this but it seems easier now to be left to the builder 250 million ACS $ 10,000 to the baker on the corner.
I guess it's better then go for a business that does not require much initial capital to start ...
Is certainly not a bad idea, although there are many aid sectors such as technology. Frankly, Spain is now the country with more aid for R & D, but there are doubts that. Credits are repayable over five years, we'll see when the time comes who returns them. Then there are private investors, venture capital type funds or business angels. But for investors looking for such a business must make millions prospects, not worth a company of three young people who aspire to is to achieve three salaries to live.
Is there too much desire to be an officer from a young age?
That's a big deficit. People want to be a footballer, and if that does not come out, have a seat for life. We in Spain 3 million employees and 3.2 million self-employed, almost on par, which is an outrage. In the U.S., the proportion is 18% of staff to 82% of self. We need at least 1.5 million more to go autonomous recovering the 3 million jobs lost in the crisis, yet we can take 6 or 7 years to do.
And too much bureaucracy?
In Spain it takes 49 days to start a business, a lot compared to 3-4 days in Belgium, the UK 7 days and 12 days on average in the OECD. There have been attempts to stop, but only serve very typical for companies. It is something that government should fix.
There is also talk of the fear of failure of the entrepreneur.
We live in a society that does not allow second chances. If a business closes is stigmatized and is a failure. That does not happen elsewhere, because every trajectory can be successes and failures. Here, if the first does not work, your own people say: do not try more, go to work at a bank. Can you give a ball with a company and a great idea? And a few balls there. Gone are the days of brick, and that's good. Were mounted SL who bought flats at 'x' million to sell more expensive. Companies were created, but not create jobs but to speculate. Many have disappeared, and the purging has been good, but on the road have also disappeared who were engaged in other things more reasonable

Interview in the Journal of Oviedo, New Spain
I leave you with the latest interview in the Journal of Oviedo, New Spain, on 24 March.
Alejandro Suárez Sánchez-Ocaña, 37, founded his first company in 1998 and since then has participated as an investor, consultant and advisor to venture capital funds in companies in sectors as diverse as hospitality and biotechnology. His family is originally from Sama Langreo and spends every summer in Luanco. Suarez is the founding partner of the popular music company Inversora Foley internetYes.fm and chairs. The employer yesterday visited Oviedo to present his book "It's time to start a company."
- What qualities should an entrepreneur?
-First sincerity. We all believe we are worth to start a business, but few of us look in the mirror and see our family conditions, social, economic ... If we did we would see more sincerely that many are not worth for it. The second quality is the ability to take riesgos.Y the third is perseverance and effort. Spain is a country ripe for the business world. 90% of SMEs bankruptcy before the age of three years, which is a very cruel horizon, and those that manage to cross that line is perseverance.
-Employers complain about what it takes to start a business in Spain.
Spain is the country-34 of 37 OECD more red tape has when starting a business. Here we must make an average of ten administrative and wait about 47 days to start a business. In all other OECD countries the average is three administrative hurdles and 13 days. The Administration is pushing people who are unemployed to be launched to address, but what should the government is working to expand the horizon of business survival.
-The credit market does not help to take.
-A level of funding is a huge problem because we are cheating. Organizations such as the Official Credit Institute even said in 2007 that no Spanish company would break due to lack of liquidity during the crisis. The ICO is a great fallacy. You should now be helping entrepreneurs and freelancers, but most are being denied loans. However, if you ask ACS and 150 million the ICO gives you no problem. This joins the banks have closed the tap on funding tight. 'Then why is the time to take?
-The main reason is very cruel, and there are 4.7 million unemployed people in Spain and Asturias unemployment is at its highest rate since 1996, and someone has to tell these people that you may not find work in the coming years. The recovery will take 4 or 5 years, and will not appear 5 million jobs from scratch. People can not continue with that passive attitude of sending resumes online, you need to get going and find an alternative. To regenerate the labor market must first regenerate tissue empresarial.Y have to think that a previous generation, with less training but with the same stubbornness credit and interest rates to 14%, could undertake and create businesses.
-Speech skill level ...
-We have prepared the younger generation more history, but they are as if asleep. Many people told me: "Look how bad things are, I drive hundreds of resumes online and nobody calls me." The job search can not just send resumes the chair from home between program and television program.
-The businessmen also complain that Spain encourages little entrepreneurial culture.
-The University makes us all as men as the same gray suit. Educates us all to leave the labor market looking for a job right now is at a premium, so they are taking people to the slaughter. We say it is possible to undertake. In the U.S. many large companies that have emerged in the last ten years, like Facebook and Google, are 'spin off' university, but what big company in Spain has left the University? The problem here is that the University believes that halo is above the economic and business and can not be tainted by the commercialism of a consumer society. A good university project can not end in an honors and stored in a drawer.
- In which sectors are the opportunities to do business?
-All that is R & D and technology, and management companies clean energy resources and education, are the sites that are popular among investors to support projects that have the most support of the Administration. But everyone should start a business within the industry he knows best.
And in this context, how is Asturias?
She is in a delicate moment in terms of unemployment. Here's a higher percentage than in the rest of Spain from people who claim to ride a company if you become unemployed, but many say that is not enough support for entrepreneurs from the Government.

Digital Natives
I leave you with the latest article published on 22 March in Five Days.
If you prefer you can also descarcarlo in PDF by clicking here .
Knowledge of digital technology on children has, until now, one of our outstanding unknowns. The question of the degree of knowledge they possess and the fact to determine when he began his apprenticeship raises many questions, which are cleared at a stroke when we take note of the statistics. And that future generations are going strong as far as technology is concerned. According to a study by the group AVG Internet Security and published by Business Wire, 19% of children two to five years is able to play simple applications in smartphones, while only 9% in the same range of old knows tying. This percentage is very striking, though not a reflection of the place of digital technology in our lives. The fact that our children know before handling a smartphone sounds like tying shoes phrase may even seem like bad news, but it is not. This is good news, which we needed. Without going any further, the study also reveals that among children aged two to three years, 44% are able to use a computer to play, while only 43% of children know how to ride a bike. Given that the members of generations past cost us learn to operate a computer, why do our children learn to use them before a bicycle? Well the answer lies in the degree of need and accessibility that children have of them. It is clear that today, computers and internet access is a daily and its use has been extended to almost the entire population. Also keep in mind that the use of computers and the Internet from an early age and has joined the teaching centers. Also, smartphones are on track to become just as essential instruments to computers for our children and youth, which will mean they will have a great deal of progress already. Report data are only the reflection of a changing society, especially as technology is concerned, and where our children have got to march in step with technological advances that we make available. Future generations will draw us a tremendous advantage in the management of technology, it may be one of the few positive things that we leave a legacy. With the report of AVG Internet Security group we have good news. Never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad that digital natives, our children, do not know how to tie shoes.

Interview in the newspaper "I" in Valencia
I leave you with the latest interview published in the journal That of Valencia. last March 4.
Only if it is to start a business. It is one of the alternatives that exist but lack a lot of information and support to private investors MARY ALMENAR were created last year in the Region of 9,356 companies, 6% more than in 2009, and 18,467 were dissolved, also a 6% increase the previous year, according to the INE. Against this background, and the alarming unemployment rate, the solution to work can not only send resumes indiscriminately. "There are more alternatives, such as self-employment, because in 80% of cases these people who sign up for all kinds of offers will not find short-term work," says Alejandro Suárez Sánchez-Ocaña, author of 'Your When setting up your business', a bestseller. He is a businessman and also 'Business Angel', ie, private investor, a figure missing in Spain, especially now, with the tap closed, and that funding is very common in America. We need more entrepreneurs and investors to emerge from the crisis but also "more information and training". According to a survey by Leisure Networks, only 23% of the Valencians know how to build your company without foreign aid and 42% did not know you could ask for all the unemployed in a lump sum to start a business. Try to innovate but using common sense.
A tip for those with entrepreneurial soul: if you create a company that is in an industry you know well and try to innovate but with common sense. If you have an idea, not save it for fear someone will copy, share it, especially with critics. So you can defend it and know if it is based

How are the ideal partners?
I leave you with the latest story on the book's time to start a magazine company in the Entrepreneur of the month of March.
At first, many entrepreneurs are the partner of a way to save operating costs. If you have a friend who knows about marketing, we named a partner and director of marketing and we have covered a post, says Alejandro Suárez Sánchez-Ocaña in his book it is time to start a company.
Big mistake, says Suarez, the choice of a partner should be based on objective criteria. He adds a project with many partners or originates from a group of friends stop being your project and medium term (and often!) Too unmanageable. For him, in general, one can say that the right partner is one who:
We complement: Its strengths are precisely your weakest points.
Share your motivation: Your goal is exactly the same as yours. Share the ideal of the project and the objectives that you want to achieve and the degree of effort and sacrifice we are willing to mortgage for it.
It has the same rhythm. This is work capacity, must be fair and evenly with your energy supply.
Must retroalimentarte. Complicity and teamwork are key to some partners. If this fails, otherwise it's hard to build.
You must share values. Occasionally you can dilemmas, even moral, within a company. It is particularly complex balance two ways of looking at life totally opposite. As Alejandro Suarez says, there are many ideal partners, the difficulty is finding them. A person can be the ideal partner for a business type and not another, or simply ideal for other types of enterprise and not for you.
And one last tip: "What is appropriate is not seeking among people coming and if you really fully think we'll cover that position in exchange for a shareholding cake." Notes

Without planning there is no solution
I leave you with the article published in Corporate Dossier on 25 February. If you want you can also download it in PDF here .

The result of financing for SMEs and freelancers through Direct ICO has been low, as stated by the Economy Minister Elena Salgado. Oh, surprise! Minister really has fallen short, not scarce, it is an utter failure, in my opinion. Since the creation of this line in June, announced by the Government trumpeted as a solution for the self employed and small and medium enterprises, only 3,000 have been granted loans worth 140 million euros, according to the Association of Autonomous Workers, 70% of a request for such funding have been rejected. But these results are not surprising at all, what is surprising and really offensive is the promotional campaign of the ICO orchestrated by the government, which sought to make us see that they were making strenuous efforts by creating different lines that were designed as ICO tables real salvation in a desperate situation by closing the tap of funding for banks. The ICO Direct was created in the month of June after the failure of previous financing plan in 2009, shared between banks and the ICO, because the conditions of the banks were very restrictive. Now with the new Direct ICO, the government boasted that the risk of these loans fell only in the ICO, but managed by Banco Santander and BBVA, and restrictions for its issue are identical or worse. In addition, the Finance Minister has asked the Bank of Spain, the Banking Association and the Confederation of Savings Banks that provide disaggregated data on credit extended, but has not said that the ICO should do the same. If these data to the current date have not been in the hands of the Ministry of Economy me wonder what kind of economic policy is being carried out and NO SOLUTION WITHOUT PLANNING basis of what criteria is governed, as there is an absolute lack of information essential to develop economic strategies to remedy this economic crisis. It is clear that there is no planning, only our politicians make decisions and develop impromptu speeches empty of real content and real solutions, while banks require explanations about data the government steps performed in the same way. It is best to take balls out to look for real solutions. Again this is a useless patch that does not provide solutions, failure to previously known and announced by the entrepreneurs themselves and the self we knew from the beginning that would lead nowhere. Without planning, there is no solution. And then are not things. If instead of wasting time and money to put patches on campaigns for fictional ICO, the government employed all their efforts in a real and practical in promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and the creation of new businesses we would not be at this situation. But it is easier to take balls out, ask for explanations from the banks and throw their hands in their head at the number of unemployed in Spain. Again we speak of a failure, the result of the lack of planning and hard to resolve. And they pay people not to blame.

Do you know how much is a billion?
I leave you with the latest article published in Corporate Dossier on 11 February. However you can download the PDF by clicking here :
Internet is a mass phenomenon without precedent. In Spain, according to the latest report of the Observatory ONTSI-National Telecommunication and Information Society, there are over 26.9 million Internet users. This means that 54% of Spanish households have Internet access and that the total expenditure on ICT services, information technology and communication-are 13.375 million, representing an average monthly expenditure of 26 online , 9 euros for each household. To date, Spain has exceeded 10 million broadband lines. Combines technology and millions of people around the world. For example, and easy to say, there are over 500 million users of Facebook and this number is increasing every day in each of the various entertainment platforms offered by the network. Recently, the media jumped the curious competition that have shaped the artist Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga to reach one billion viewings of their music videos through his YouTube channel. Both artists were very close to this record and thousands of struggling Internet through the network on which of them would reach for the first time so many viewings. But despite such news, the truth is that the music industry is still waiting to adapt to changing times. New systems of streaming like Spotify or Spain Yes.fm their way to a sales and distribution model archaic and meaningless as is the physical sale of CDs. The need to reinvent an industry that has been feared and tried unsuccessfully to protect the technology is today, and a desperate cry. Record companies continue to put gates to the field and creating numerous barriers to facilitate free music distribution models, and global and, in this bleak scenario, the numbers rule. In 2009 the music industry went DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IS A BILLION? billing 13.816 million euros to 12.835 million euros, ie, fell more than 7%. In Spain, especially given the incidence of illegal downloading, this percentage decline is larger and has several years of declining revenues steadily. Exceptional record strive to find alternatives that record the artist, to his utter inability to generate revenue from users. Thus, in recent years insist on forcing artists to sign contracts that called 360 degrees, ie those in which not only receive revenue from sales of CDs, but also concerts and performances that they are offering throughout our country. What an artist enters through the sale of a CD is CEO of Leisure Networik a tiny amount. With few exceptions is less than one euro per unit and, historically, the benefit was to offer live performances. Exceptional attack that income, rather than worry reinvent itself and offer alternatives in the context of the evolution of obsolete hardware into a digital market that, despite not being driven properly, and represents 25% of total sales of music . A billion people see a music video on YouTube shows an interest, environmental acceptance and demand by the society, which should provide sufficient sample for music makers worldwide to abandon its historical position of the complaint and get to work on new alternatives that can offer them to users and serve them to recoup the huge potential.
