I believe in God (... and Steve Jobs)
I am not suspected of being an Apple fanboy, in fact save my iMac recognize in a box unused for years (if you read my wife kills me), only the iPod, and iPhone have captured my attention and loyalty. But, despite not being a staunch supporter and generally oppose these very measured marketing experiences, I recognize that my first impressions are viewing the demo of the new 'gadget' are to be before something great and revolutionary.
We've all seen the iPhone has led to its main competitors such as Nokia or Samsung clog their defeat by copying the concept and aesthetics without mercy, in order to increase their sales looking like 'a little' the prized apple Smartphone. I think up to now unknown in the Tablet PC market is going to happen much more drastic. The existing TabletPC have not had significant sales to date, is the price of going too quickly and without an ambitious and desired product ... and that will change.
The IPAD is going to help everything from surfing the internet, video or keep consuming the management of our company, thanks to more than 140,000 applications that are available before you leave the product on sale, but my feeling is that going to revolutionize the publishing world and the press.
The publishing market and online media are facing a challenge with new possibilities of integration. Steve Wozniak, one of the co-founders of Apple, has forecast a near future where there will be subscriptions to newspapers and magazines in the IPAD through iTunes. Read our selection in the metro news or support learning in the university or college, will be pathways, content generators and hoped this change Apple's hand, micropayments for content are like a breeze, with a model already validated with millions of sales and downloads.
In Spain, the Apple mobile (and BlackBerrys) have triggered the use of the Internet from smartphones to the point position ourselves as the country with highest rate of Internet penetration in the mobile. A connection IPAD complements the existing 3G mobile internet consumption, overcoming unprecedented experience to see or navigate to any other mobile device.
Steve Jobs said proudly that 75 million consumers, users of the iPod and the iPhone already know how to use his new invention. The technology and philosophy is the same, easy and intuitive. A large proportion of these users will become your IPAD in the coming years, but more important is the number of people who will buy his first Apple device with IPAD.
Apple did not invent the wheel with this new device, simply use it wisely and respond to new consumer needs. We can invent useful and does not conflict with the aesthetic, the idea is not the key (this idea was in the market for years!), The key is execution, and Jobs has just demonstrated.
It is the triumph of marketing and glamor that only Jobs knows how to sell. Is the gain and position, creating desire and that before going on sale the expectation is maximized, to filter ably much higher prices to cause a 'ohhh' the public to find yours. Never before has a commercial presentation of a consumer object to such an extent had cornered the covers and information media worldwide. Few can revolutionize the world with their ideas. Jobs has done it again, and incredibly this is becoming a healthy habit.

I agree with you that the IPAD can be a revolution for leisure and for work on the move.
The current Tablet PCs are designed with parameters 15 years ago: powerful devices capable of performing heavy local applications.
In addition to everything you mention, the Apple IPAD is designed "by and for the cloud."
I can not make mistakes and ultimately succeed, but right now I think this device is to carry forward the whole market down the road ... leaving huge profits for Apple. And the most attractive of all for Apple: primarily via applications and content.
Congratulations reflection
I agree most of what you mention in the post. Regardless of their attachment to the Apple brand and its products, is to praise and learn from their strategic ability to read and anticipate the market. Chapeau!
