Chat with Agoranews in FICOD
Ficod I recognize that I enjoyed this little chat with AgoraNews, with kids in Jaime Estevez. there for a while at first the sound is not very good, heard wrong, but then they hear well and I think it's fun to hear it
Certainly the role that is not show (no camera or my reflexes to teach it well) was a photo of a shop in Barcelona with all the cds on sale for 1 Euro

Advertising 3.0: popup to popcojones
The evolving market for Internet advertising, economically slower than expected / wanted in 1997 or 1998, but leaving that aside and looking at the different forms of web advertising, we can say that the industry reinvents itself, more or less successfully every few years with new solutions and formats.
The banner (468 × 60) which was the industry standard for years, has fallen in disuse and was quickly replaced by other formats, such as megabanner (728 × 90), the Rectangle, skyskapers, popups, popunders, buttons, links , widgets, interstitials, video, audio, layers, and the mother who brought ...
I do not doubt that the emerging formats work, but also directly affect the satisfaction of a user on a website, is aggressive, forcing me to see these, of course I remember your brand later but is a memory positive connotation, does the memory that you have forced me to "eat" something?.
If your content is Premium, you will provide a more intrusive advertising (recent example is elmundo.es, aggressive advertising and people keep using it heavily, but if not, I am convinced that a% of users reject Emerging and full screen formats (curtains), seeking "the next time" another source.

I'm surprised these days the announcement that Apple (fuck, Jobs, that I could expect from Microsoft, not you), patented an advertising system with the idea that they can stop the applications in your hardware, for example on iphone or ipod to run an ad for X seconds, where your device is not working and only shows full-screen advertising in video format, and then resume the application. I've affectionately dubbed as "popcojones.
I seem the height, the most intrusive of the world, and unethical. What Apple has patented that?, Will they dare to use it?. I think it would be one of the few things I would rethink saying goodbye to my Iphone.
I would hope that the guys at Steve Jobs do us a favor.'ve Had that idea and patent it overheated so that anyone can use it and stay forever in a drawer, such as photos of some famosilla that "removes" a magazine and that we owe a favor and thus remain as cool.
Yes advertising, and resounding yes to dignify and to grow, because your shadow grows the whole sector. But not to be aggressive, intimidating and forcing the user. I, as an advertiser does not want anyone to be forced to watch my brand, and user do not want to force me to see advertising and interrupt my work.

Investors are from Mars, Venus Entrepreneurs
To paraphrase the great John Gray ( "Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus"), let me brief parody is to make a tiny reflection in the background, people are very different, but the conflicting roles alienate us even more.
Previous thoughts of the day before:
Investor:
Damn, I meet with another geek kid of these tomorrow. I hope it's worth seeing if I just hit a pitch like this in Google ... flipping through the first pages of the Business Plan is even possible to have something interesting: This very well presented, does not have many spelling mistakes and even dare I say that the numbers sounded consistent. Still, as always prepare a good excuse to cut the conversation if the topic gets out of hand, will not be one of those enlightened members of the church of "my idea" to make me lose tomorrow.
Entrepreneur:
The truth is that not very well which makes this guy I see tomorrow, but I read in Loogic and in several Internet forums that have pasta. I have to rehearse my arguments about the 60 slides that I have prepared, very professional going to freak out!, Total, this guy will not know half of what I tell you so I mostly seem very safe at all ... to see if I can get pasta ...!
Impressions from the first instant of the Meeting:
Investor:
This guy has not worn a suit in life. You note. Certainly not the kind of boyfriend I'd like my daughter ... well, to see that pussy and tell me if not more of the same ... I have a dinner at 14 pm, with 30 Minutillo has more than enough ...
Entrepreneur:
Joe, I was going to eat with potatoes and intimidates me a bit now on stage. Well, luck and the bull, total, this tacky bitch has no idea, bone who will not dare to discuss anything.
...
Thoughts during the presentation:
Investor:
Beautiful graphics, nice logo, nice Mac, fuck these kids every day better fitted these power point ... hopefully not one of those professional presentations and then no more where scratch. To see if you just tell me once and we'll roll numbers.
Entrepreneur:
Juas! The guy is as flipao listen, or is no doubt that everything is crystal clear?. To see if a pirate and talk over the bastard and I try to copy my idea. Nahhh no nose ... never find someone like me to get it running.
Following the presentation, come the questions:
Investor:
- Men's sounds interesting, but do not you think that an assessment of 2 million Euro, for a company that does not yet exist, it is tad ... as I would say ... aggressive?
Entrepreneur:
(What a gypsy!, But what happens to this guy, he sees the potential of my idea?)
- Man, it seems a fair market price. The assessment of this potential projects with other European countries is much higher. Bill also think 20 million Euros in 2014
- If yes ... well, and I can say on the basis that we may think that these fees are possible investor asks. In fact, I think there is just Internet companies with turnover figures as those in Spain ...
- Man, just look the American market!. In this sector is an almost logical development in Spain.
- Ahhh, of course, the Americans! ... But not you think that the American market is, say, anything bigger and populous, with greater economic potential than Spanish?
- But we in addition to being the industry leader, in 2011 we expand throughout Europe.
- I understand, but do not require heavy investments that have not seen covered in the current Business Plan?
- That would contemplate a second round in 2010. Now we offer 10% of the company for 200,000 Euros. It is the money to boot.
- The only investment is my rank up to 100,000 Euros, that figure is too high for me ...
- Never mind, we can modify the business plan and starting with 100,000 Euros also spending less on advertising.
- And that decline in advertising, how the supliríais?. How are we going to make the product?
- Using social networks!. Thanks to the viral social networking!
- (Poker face) and which has prospects for the company. Who can you sell in the future?
- (Sell "? But this guy is idiot? If we're going to charge 20 million in 2014, and offer to be the King of the world, how to sell?. Buah, will muddle through and say business as usual ...). Sure 1 or 2 years Telefonica and our international competitors will be interested and will be a great opportunity to raise cash.
- Man, I do not see Telefonica buying this ... in fact do not buy anything on the internet ...
- Well, then, our international competition ... or a bank.
- Ya ... well, the fact is that I like the idea and think there's a good team ... would have to value a bit ... I have my doubts ... advertising revenue based on give me something to fear, not me if this application is really disruptive as to achieve these milestones billing ...
- Well, it's an opportunity ... I have spoken with John and Gregory, and are already interesadísimos ... who take your investment committee and want to close it and go quickly ...
- ( "John and Gregory? We do not fuck with me, often bluff!, Those not covered or pá God in these assessments that offer insurance to pay" in kind "). Well, well, the investor decision-let's do something, I have to go to a meal ... go ahead with them, I'd like to see you again in a few months, when you get a little more mature ...
- (Because you're missing out, bud!). No problems, hope it's not too late and you stay out, because the price will be higher and they are taking away from my hands. See you later.
- (This does not give one euro or God). Ciao
Any resemblance to reality is not mere coincidence, is this could be the summary of one of many such encounters, between investors and entrepreneurs, two groups as complementary and necessary.
And that, basically, we are all very different, but the investor and the entrepreneur, are much more even.

Growing up in the work
Some time ago I said I wanted to write about 20 words and concepts, this is one of them.
Maybe one that has a certain internal reading, and while I write what I used to tidy up some ideas and, in a special way, so this blog is also an element of internal communication and so people who work me to know, what I often think of work-related issues in general, not with his particular, and might not have had occasion to deal with them.
I may be wrong, but I feel that the term "work" does not stand a snapshot of meaning has varied over recent years, I think overall the whole society.

In 2006, 2007 and 2008 all work we had to spare, was a necessary evil. Labor mobility was high, from my position the weight of the loyalty concept became critical to maintaining an operational structure. I think many people, my family and I have seen several examples, not value an asset in itself "have work" in a country where historically this has been a major Achilles heels.
In some ways, the work is like eels, known especially well when you realize it takes a huge effort and hardly any, that shortage is the value it makes you so special and important as abundance, you value it less so. Indeed, a comparison would be more fun if the work is not necessary today to buy a kilo of elvers is frivolous, and come this year to pay over 2,000 euros / kilo frankly this new year, not if it costs more to find work or buy a kilo of elvers.
The crisis has taught many people in a cruel, something unknown, that work can get scarce, and to sample the more than 4 million unemployed people in Spain and the thousands of immigrants who are returning to their countries of origin . It is a tragedy, but also a warning to some people who thought they could change jobs constantly at the slightest difficulty, did not value the efforts of the operators and their employers and sometimes took the decision to change jobs trivially , Total, "if you find something within weeks" ... Well, those weeks have become months and those months have made to end the strike that you were assigned, and tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions have found nothing . I imagine that in the next 2-3 years when all this goes past, managed to place, but what they really desire, is well placed to have learned that this is cyclical and can happen again.
The main trade unions, ludicrously anachronistic in modern Spain, living in the heat of the grants from the (few unions would, and I doubt they were great, if you were to keep the quotas of workers), they insist on drawing a line I do not agree that between the worker and employer. To me that does not exist and is something of the past ... or if there is something much more tenuous than 10 or 20 years ago.
The concept of worker begins to blur now seemingly distant concepts with "investors" and "employer"
What have I gained in this job?, What is my market value?, Have I improved my resume this year?, Have I learned and discovered new insights?
These questions also apply to a company, an investment and a worker.
To me we are all businessmen, entrepreneurs and businesses that employ people who tap their own work within a company, that is, are entrepreneurs themselves, but ultimately we are all one way or another business, and if we do not feel well like ourselves is that we are capitalizing bad our effort.

The time to make the leap
This is a column published in the Finance of Mexico, The Republic of Uruguay and the World Economy and Business. You can see it here in pdf
The time to make the leap
It's time to be decided. If no hesitation. Looking out the window and even though no network, clearly realizing that it's time to make the leap.
The Labor Force Survey walks slowly but inexorably towards the historic threshold of 20% unemployed. It reflects a delicate social and economic moment that translates into about 4 million already unemployed, a real tragedy for families and a huge handicap in the economic balance of a country that needs to change its economic structure and production model.
Maybe it's time to turn unemployed into entrepreneurs. For if we look at the macroeconomic figures, we see that Spain, a country of 3 million employees, has only 3.2 million self-employed. If more unemployed self-employed. A country where there are almost the same number of staff who self, is a country where something fails.
Now is the time to help a percentage of those unemployed to engage, transform some of those close to 4 million unemployed into entrepreneurs, the germ of future entrepreneurs in the years to create value and provide jobs to others. Reversing this situation is critical, not just to change the drama of everyday life for millions of families today, but to put us into a sustainable growth scenario in the future.
The key objective of this government should be born in the 70s and especially women. People aged 30-40 years, with initiative and drive to be the germ of the revolution of Spanish production model, and for this you need positive messages, incentives and encouragement in this direction, it is time to give the jump , to take risks ... and to have incentives to do so.
Undertake in Spain is not easy and the younger generation has added a handicap, lack of clear references in previous generations, mirrors that look, personal success to want to emulate. We talked of turning what was becoming known as "generation loss" a generation where the lack of entrepreneurs will be a burden for society in the very near future. That this "lost generation" is not such, is critical in this economic climate and an imperative for management to encourage them, train them and push them to jump, there's no better recipe against the crisis.
This should be obvious, unfortunately it is not so. Spain, according to Doing Business 2010 report compiled by the World Bank, and measures the ease of doing business in 168 countries, is at number 62 world ranking, being the most backward developed nation last year. Sad picture.
As it could not be otherwise in the top10 of the world ranking countries like USA, UK, Denmark, Ireland, Canada, Australia and Norway. Es ahí donde tenemos que posicionarnos, y es obligación de la administración estimular a la “generación pérdida” y transformar el drama del alto número de desempleados una oportunidad para esa esperanza de cambio de ciclo productivo en nuestro país.

Innovating is gerund

Innovating is gerund
