I'm going to enjoy myself
I admit I do not like that I put on my agenda items especially if Google!, But the step they have taken the Hombres G with the launch of hombres.tv, compels me to comment on some things that go through my head.
The first time I saw live G Men was many many years ago at a concert in Madrid JACARA Plateau. That time, and then had few problems ![]()
Later I remember having when I was interviewed by 97.2 FM Top40 announcer on occasion, have interviewed for the magazine DownTown David (now TD) on a cold morning at the Railroad Museum. Later I remember a party filed at Joy Eslava in which Larios, who at that time was sponsoring a tour of David alone, half-cheated him to hand over a prize at the party ![]()
War stories aside, the case study is being launched at Web 2.0. In my opinion that is good and bad things I want below.
First, Hombres G, as well known band released CD, Twins, Warner and the active participation of Daniel Mosque in charge of marketing for Dro ... they are certainly not newcomers, and is especially illuminating a group that knows the record market in a way so intense and even for years one of its members is sitting on "the other side of the table" to take such action, it is not trivial.
My first consideration is to their gallons can afford it, unfortunately that does not happen no'veles groups. Are known, and quite possibly their future business on their tours this more than record sales. CD sales fell last year in Spain about 40%, a frightening scenario and friends deserve the record companies .... But even more frightening to know that a significant group wins at best the order of 1 Euro per CD sold. A nobel group, you may enter the order of 20-60 Euro cents for a CD that can cost in the order of 19 Euros.
It is a recent trend of record companies in their intent to seek other revenue, the force to take part in the single leg of the business that did not control, the tours of artists.
Do not know if that is the case of Hombres G. I would love it clarified, but if you have taken this step, it is because they certainly are up to the cap of a section of broken aristocrats of socks they look in the belly between them and sow not, but in a disastrous fait accompli apply the "behind the pit of my" leaving a legacy of scorched earth behind them. Not create value, do not believe in the future, very little worry that their results today.
Web 2.0 is a suitable vehicle in Spain today for this type of jump, but it will not be a bed of roses, and I think it will be necessary to be very convinced that the effort involved and a possible scenario " crossing the desert, this jump must be clear and unequivocal medium-long term, no further proof. And for me it is important that this leap should not do it alone and must be "subtly directed" by marketers and Web 2.0, understand that this is partly the role of Roberto Carreras communication consultant and Web 2.0 to do not know personally but just have to follow your twitter or your blog to realize that in this respect are well covered.
Where can bring Web 2.0 to a music group?
Perhaps most importantly, will make you the master of your career, you can be free and enjoy. Personally I would fear a business model to be targeted to end the sale of music exclusively, and do not know if this is the case. I bet for a new model, in which the music does not have to be the product, the product may be selling tickets to live concerts, community building, advertising operation, the merchandising, content and premium video, other routes income.
If the model is intended only to distribute digital music over the internet, piracy and collide with the problems of current distribution channel, change the chip, possession and consumption of music is not the end but perhaps part of means to achieve greater goals.
There is a moment - an opportunity while adjusting the majors labels. In fact I think there is a long hole course in Spain to create a new type of company, much closer to users and the artists themselves, who use the Internet as the only means through a more dynamic and benefiting from the advantages of the web 2.0.
Good luck to David, Ralph, Tim and Dani. And I want to be wishful thinking on topic. They open the melon and its success is the success of validating a new model that can be followed by many others. It is part of the "medicine" that can closely match the industry needs to stop in the middle and face him.
For my part I can do little, but the resources available to me, and brackets Entertainment Networks, which has 5 million unique users monthly, are available by Hombres G to perform any action, communication, ETC. at zero cost from today, so I throw the gauntlet and put at your disposal.
It's my little bit, because this "war" is not just a band, success in this case moved to the industry, and many wish to do so. Suerte amigos!

Do not believe it much. Perhaps you are NOT influential
"Influential or followed? Is it the same?
At the risk of wearing something transcendental philosophy and I'd like to reflect on something I see very common, and from my perception I think is misleading, confusing and often influential.
The blogosphere is a microcosm, if I said micro, and really I think many people but sometimes criticizes me-in which many times that we live all extrapolate and draw conclusions as if a whole, as possibly representing a small sector of the Spanish population, which grows larger every day, but definitely small.
Perhaps like you, who regularly read blogs, social networks drive, use or plan to open your twitter, it is 70% of the population in Spain is another world out there.
That is precisely the merit of social networks have penetrated, a high percentage of people are on Facebook, have broken the barrier of tekkies. The Facebook profile is normal conversation café, has fallen the great wall, but only in certain environments it is also what he said or not said people "relevant" for example Martin Varsavsky (believe me, can be exciting, but those all fit on a bus vs. the total population) and sometimes you lose that perspective in front of a computer when you converse with people of your same profile sector.
Something similar is going on with the concepts of limitation or influence, we use a little lightly. Anyone who aspires to open a blog to disseminate, to come forward and interact in their natural environment. Some more or less success also aim to influence and / or prescribe, to make trend and generate opinion, but I think reality is that few can really afford it.
There are many people with ability to communicate and inform. I think this does not mean they have the capacity to influence, ie to put issues on the agendas of other mental reflect them.
I see many publications and personal blogs are widely read, and therefore I say "very influential". It is typical to hear "has readers in FeedBurner XXXXXX, everybody knows him" and so on. Really, I think they are 2 concepts that go hand in hand.
Who knows you is not everything, also know Ubrique Jesulín. What you read does not mean that influence me, is a higher state that begins with respect and you'll have to earn. I can be a very well informed and very often, but also perhaps my opinion is not valued and that this matter not be absolutely prescriber or influence in the life and behavior from anyone.
Coldly, if I think, "but I try to avoid it;-D - some people, some blogs and some comments influence me.
I think that's not bad although I would not be "easily influenced", we all respond to stimuli in the near and react to them, and blogs and bloggers are no exception, but I do believe that very few in each area people and / or publications have enough prestige, experience and valid argument to be opinion makers.

European Elections: Political and Internet 2.0
Last week I published a forum on European elections and the use of Social Media in elconfidencial.com
The reproduce here verbatim, if you wish you can see from the Confidential from here
European Elections and Social media
There are many benefits that the real Internet, the people, better known as Web 2.0 offers our political class. Unfortunately apparently seen so far in this campaign to the European Parliament, the policy is beyond the reach of technology.
The application of viral and concepts of limitation and evangelization of new users are not marked as a year ago during the American election campaign milestones that our political parties should try to continue to achieve new goals.
The benefits of squeezing the benefits of new technologies at the political level are among the many that could be noted:
"The viral spread the message: Ability to develop, create or be a generator of opinion that a prescriber can move masses and spread the message of a bidirectional manner with users, gathering feedback from themselves that enriches and feeds the message.
"The closeness: Any candidate may appear close, intimate and can demonstrate an ability to listen, interact, and worry about minority problems with predefined public and collective well that could not be serviced from traditional media.
"The dynamism: In the social belief of the low intensity of work, monitoring the daily life of a politician can show constant activity, work and intensity, creating a daily and very close link between political representatives and their constituents.
-Organization: A busy schedule of campaign events can have its climax when the people responsible for organization and public relations use the demographics of the people who follow us to coordinate and organize campaign events and inform our supporters of where and when we at each time asking for help whenever needed and raised the possibility of actively collaborating in its area of influence.
"The investment required and return: to spread the message in social networks, Twitter, forums and blogs is actually very cheap, like everything, is always very important that you get from a deep knowledge of the environment and if done well, profitability action will be twofold: we not only supporters and recipients of the message, but active people to help us evangelize and spread our message on the Internet. This is very difficult to exploit and that none of our politicians has been achieved to date in Spain. In the main Spanish political parties PP and PSOE, we have seen some "little shy and sometimes-successful attempts to create vehicles of influence and spread online, but could only point out two cases, which could be defined as" two wrongs in the country of the blind ".
In the People's Party figure Esteban Gonzalez Pons, communications secretary of the Popular Party who at one point early in 2006, had a blog of their own within a media, and from their Facebook account, of a very active, interacts, communicates and maintains relationships with over 4,200 friends have even created the "Facebook Fan Club Esteban Gonzalez Pons, with 790 followers. In the account of the Secretary of Communications of the PP is a promise: "Sometimes I do not have time to answer (e-mails, mostly), or at least to respond on time and to the extent that they deserve some messages, but I guarantee that It is given PERSONALLY profile and always read everything. You have my commitment. "
In my opinion, by far, the people who best understand the use of social networks. But would include looking for the easy applause of his unconditional, which undoubtedly has them-and rarely the analysis and discussion, as when a few months ago he complained that "the good of Federico Jiménez Losantos had said he was wasting time on Facebook" , for which he received dozens of messages from well animo.es channel impeller Facebook PP http://www.facebook.com/pp counts with 3,900 fans, curiously 300 less of maintaining himself.
In the Socialist Party, highlighted the work that many years ago Patxi López, very active with his personal blog and your Twitter account. We'll see if in a few months, once achieved the objective of the President's Office is still as active and understanding the medium. To their credit we must say that one of the few who has realized at a very early the importance and possibilities of Twitter, unfortunately not in its entirety since Twitter is by definition "the talk" and Patxi Lopez rarely have we seen to respond to the supporters who inquired about this medium. Have an unattended Twitter account, which claims only to spread your message without listening and showing that you hear is like opening a hot line to connect with your fans when the phone rings and nobody picks up the other side. Something a little disappointing.
The PSOE is also a very active channel on Facebook, with up to 5,600 fans. Even seeing how they work both spaces we see differences between the PP and PSOE. In the space of PSOE criticism is fierce and we do not know is whether it is permitted or not is moderating a little slack. Some of the comments of the users are really fierce with the site manager:
"Pillar has written Tamo Alcantara at 16:34 May 31
Yes agree with you, but with another government ... .. this has already shown what he can do in five years and has done nothing ... .. "
Nothing to do with the apparent mildness and moderation "? of the popular page.
Candidates for the European
Between the two main candidates to the European Parliament, Jaime Mayor Oreja and Juan Fernando López Aguilar, the game play is also raised in the social media. The popular Cyber followed in their movements by 2,500 people, while the socialist by 1,400, but the show of color negative movements against them. The group created "for those who detest Jaime Mayor Oreja," and its antonym "100,000 people who feel embarrassed by Juan Fernando Lopez Aguilar" clearly show that in political election campaigns are both construction of identity, as to discredit of others.
UyPD and Social Networks
Forgetting the two main parties, it is interesting to see the work of UyPD since the last general election. Rosa Díez's party seems to have realized that the Web 2.0 "is the means" natural to communicate from a political formation that has no advertising budget and communication of the major parties. They have a group who have nurtured and pampered and use it as a useful communication platform, though at times have been exceeded in recent months becoming weary and carrying a nasty spam on users.
