Yes.fm has joined the photo portal and social network Fotolog to convene the First Musical Yes.fm. The relationship between image and music dates far back, all the big stars in any genre, from classical to jazz, from rock to hip-hop, have stuck in the retina of millions of fans thanks to the proximity of photographers who matched to capture them at key moments, creating images that endured for decades and became part of his legend. These new writers now have the opportunity to showcase their talent, capturing not only the musicians in action, but the most diverse in the world in which they work, have fun and be prepared. To this end, the contest features two categories in which you can participate:
Live music. It includes everything related to the proceedings, and time to reflect the excitement caused by the proximity of the direct, anything goes: from the grand concerts at a performance in a ward room, going by the musicians that make the street in your scenario playing and marching through streets, plazas and underground passageways.
The world of music. It is a world that extends far beyond the performances on stage: it is the before and after, with days of testing and the final touches of preparation backstage, the tension surrounding the proceedings, with the secrets of backstage, and their effects, with the roaring mass of fans. An area in constant motion, providing opportunities to thousand watchful eye and the camera ready.
Up to three pictures per contestant
The contest begins at 0.00 pm on May 11 and ending at 23.59 hours on 30 June 2009. During that time, each participant may submit up to three pictures a day, or uploading them to a group created on the website Fotolog (www.fotolog.com / fotoyesfm)-for which it must be already registered or join the community, or sending them to comunidad@yes.fm, granting the appropriate permissions so that the community can go to that service.
Competition may be presented to persons of any nationality with fixed residence in Spain, even under 18 if they have the express consent of their parents or guardians.
The jury is composed of personalities representing the world of music journalism and photography, as Roberto Jimenez (blogger and music journalist), Javier Sierra (creator and director of the portal rock www.manerasdevivir.com), Nathalie Paco (music press photographer ), Dario Manrique (music journalist), Jorge Ontalba (photographer), Mauro A. Sources (expert in Social Media Marketing), Thomas Canet (photographer) and Kiko Fuentes (Director of Content www.yes.fm).
Each category will have a winner and five finalists, the first receive an iPod Touch and a premium account in www.yes.fm for one year, and the latter a premium account in www.yes.fm for six months.
The Jury will release its ruling on July 3 through web pages www.yes.fm and www.fotolog.com / fotoyesfm
